My WonderMill grain mill has been my favorite addition to my kitchen. This was the piece of equipment that started me down the path top optimal health and baking with fresh milled flour. If you shop my kitchen, this is the first piece of equipment I would recommend!
The link will take you to Pleasant Hill grains website where you can look up the above WonderMill and see all of the mills at Pleasant Hill Grains.
If you are having a hard time deciding which mill is best for your family, here’s a blog post comparing a few!

My Ankarsrum Mixer is a WORKHORSE. You can search for it and other mixers on Pleasant Hill Grains’ website! It can handle 4000g or more of ingredients and has been crucial as I increase production in my kitchen.
There are other mixers at Pleasant Hill Grains that will meet the needs of any household! If you shop my kitchen, this would be one of my favorite pieces of equipment!

When I first started milling, I used my Vitamix. It is not ideal for long term use or for large batches, but I already owned it and wanted to make sure I even liked baking with fresh milled flour! I do love this blender for a lot of reasons, this just being one of them. You are also able to purchase an attachment for milling dry ingredients.

The next thing on my wish list is this Zojirushi Bread Machine! Everyone I know that has one, says it is the BEST way to make bread with fresh milled flour and all you do is fill it the night before, set it and forget it! They wake up to fresh baked bread the next morning. Sounds dreamy to me!
Azure Standard
Many of the below pantry staples I also order from Azure Standard. I do order ALL of my organic grains from Azure, including: Hard Red Wheat, Hard White Wheat, Soft White Wheat, Khorasan (Kamut), Spelt, Barley and Rye. As well as my Coconut sugar, Coconut Oil and Maple Syrup. You need to check for a drop near you and see if you are able to get deliveries in your area. You place orders once per month and the truck is scheduled for delivery. You meet at the designated time/location and unload the truck and leave with your order. I have met some great people while waiting for an Azure order!
